Valley Creek Leadership Academy is for 18-25 year olds with a high school diploma or GED. We’d be honored to have you as part of the VCLA family! Since 2017, we’ve watched Jesus transform and equip so many young adults through this experience, and we believe He has so much in store for you, too. We can’t wait to see you step into everything you were created for!

Step 1 – Apply to VCLA

Let the adventure begin! Your first step is to tell us a little about yourself and why you feel VCLA is your next step. All of the details are listed in our application.

Step 2 – Interview

After reviewing your application, VCLA staff will set up an interview with you either online or at one of our campuses. Not only is this a space for us to get to know you more, but it’s also a great opportunity for you to ask us any questions you may have!

Step 3 – Apply to Southeastern University

Once you have interviewed with VCLA, you’ll have the opportunity to apply to SEU. You’ll need a high school transcript, and transfer students will need to submit a college transcripts if transferring credits. The SEU Admissions team will help walk you through the process and answer any questions you have!

When I joined VCLA, I thought I knew who I was. I believed I was defined by anxiety, performance, and my reputation. Throughout the last nine months, there have been so many moments where Jesus has started to reveal my identity, piece by piece. When I worshipped alongside the other students in VCLA, I felt so safe and loved that I could let my pride and insecurities fall away so I could rest at the feet of the one who defines who I am.

Before VCLA, I really struggled with what my relationship with Jesus looked like. I was lost and confused, but I knew that God wanted more for my life. I gave myself false identity statements like, "worthless", "useless," and "powerless," and I thought it was all true for the longest time. VCLA has taught me that I’m not defined by what I have or haven't done but by what Jesus has done for me.

VCLA has been the best experience of my entire life, and I'm not exaggerating. Before VCLA, I believed I had to be perfect for God to use me to my fullest potential. This changed when I was with my discipleship group and we were talking about things we were struggling with and what we needed prayer for. In that moment, I realized I wasn’t the only one who has messed up, and I'm never going to be perfect. I realized Jesus is more focused on my next step than on my miss-step. Now I can confidently know that I am enough for Jesus because He will love me no matter what.

Many times, people use their experience as their dictators of truth, and that’s exactly what I did. I grew up in a Christian home and environment, mostly all my activities regarded church and serving, and I thought what I had experienced with God was all there was. I have seen through this time there is always more with God. Every day I experience more of the goodness of God.
