SEU Quick Guide of terms

NOTE: This is a list of terms for your time interacting with an SEU account
  • OneLogin: Starting Place once an SEU Account has been set up
  • SEU Email: Official means of communication at SEU
  • MYSEU: Resource for student and campus life
  • MyFire: Classroom tool for courses
  • MyPortal (JICS): Course schedule, transcript, financial, and personal student information
  • Net Partner: Net Partner is SEU’s financial aid portal where students can check financial aid status
  • SEU Library: Gain access to LibGuides, databases, and a myriad of resources to assist your student in their courses

Preparing for the fall IN SEU

THREE STEPS TO BECOME "FIRE READY"

“Fire Ready” is the term SEU uses to indicate your student’s readiness to begin Fall SEU Classes.

1. SEU Account & Student Email

Your student will need to set up their SEU login after they have been accepted. When they are accepted, they will receive a welcome email from helpdesk@seu.edu. Click “HERE” to set up your student’s SEU account.

NOTE: Your student will use this login for all correspondence and access within SEU.

  • Log into your SEU OneLogin page by clicking “HERE”
  • Access the MyPortal (JICS) by clicking “HERE”    
2. Transcripts Clearance

On their “Fire Ready” Page, they will find their “Transcript Status.” Here, they will see if their transcripts has cleared. A green checkmark will be displayed if their transcripts are cleared. IF NOT, there will be a link that takes them to the steps they will need to follow. For questions regarding this, have them contact their academic advisor.

3. Financial Clearance

On their “Fire Ready” Page, they will find their “Financial Status”.  Here, they will see if they have an outstanding balance.

NOTE: Their balance will become available at the end of June.  Financial Plans become available once they have a balance on their account.

NOTE: They will not be allowed to be enrolled into classes with an outstanding balance and/or no financial plan.

*Register for Classes

NOTE: Pastor Chris Searcy is our SEU Academic Advisor. He will create your student’s SEU schedule and enroll them into their SEU classes.

Parent Access TO SEU ACCOUNT

NOTE: Parents, if you would like to have access to your student's account, your student must register and "add parent." To do so, follow these steps.
  • Have your Student log into their MyLogin: seu.onelogin.com
  • Access MyPortal (JICS) Student Dashboard – select the Parent Portal

  • Select “DEFINE NEW PERMISSIONS” and “ADD PARENT.” Complete all required information and submit.

  • NOTE: Access will still be restricted until SEU approves the permission request.
