Student Life

Building relationships is an essential part of VCLA.

We are a family on mission. We know we’re better together, so our program is designed to build community in everything we do – from engaging in classroom discussions and retreats to serving alongside one another.

Discover VCLA

Check out this video to hear about Sarah’s experience in VCLA and how she grew through it!

Local Excursions

We experience life to the full, and we know life is found in community! We take intentional time to build relationships within your class by partnering to beat escape rooms, connecting over card games, and even going on the occasional kayaking or sand volleyball trip.

Retreats

As we discover more of God, He invites us to seek new ways to set our focus and attention on Him. Whether it’s surrounding ourselves with creation or attending a conference, we find opportunities to embrace and create an environment of vulnerability and growth throughout the year.

Classroom

We want to show students how to think – not just what to think. Students will learn how to engage in all things by looking at the grace, people, Word, Spirit, and mission of God. As they build these foundations, they will encourage one another to root themselves in the truth about who they are, who God is, and what they were created to do.

Mission Trips

We partner with and experience the power of the global Church through leading and investing in both local and foreign immersive mission opportunities.

Serving

We believe the next gen is generation hope! Students will serve on Wednesday nights at Student Circles to connect with and disciple groups of middle and high school students. They will have the opportunity to grow in leadership, work together on projects, and develop their communication skills as they empower the next generation to step into everything God has for them!

Staff Culture

If you say, “Yes,” to VCLA, you’re saying yes to being a part of our leadership team. Students will attend monthly Valley Creek staff meetings and serve with many of Valley Creek’s teams. We have a diverse team that comes from all areas of life including business, education, technology, and more. This is a front-row seat to engaging, observing, and being equipped by our leadership family.
